This is named for the global warming debate. Opinion still remains divided as to whether this phenomenon is actually taking place. The light and dark parts of the collaged piece reflect the differing sides of this argument.
Visually I wanted to portray layers, just as there are many layers to a debate of this proportion. The embossing can be seen peeking out from under the collage, sitting subtly in contrast to the colour surrounding it.
The base print is designed to reflect elements of human society surrounding and/or encroaching on the natural world.
