"On the Move" is about mankind's endless search for new, life-fulfilling experiences in various remote surroundings, in this case in the Antarctic.
Irene's print was made by a non-toxic etching process using photopolymer film. A thin, light-sensitive layer is fixed to an aluminium plate and exposed to UV light along with a transparency made by the artist. The process produces an intaglio plate similar to those made by traditional acid etching, now widely regarded as an inherently toxic method.
