Kristin's print considers the great
power of nature and also the effect on nature of unexpected forces. In
what way will the changes in climate affect the glaciers in Iceland
and in the Antarctic?
Photopolymer etching uses a thin, light-sensitive layer fixed to a plate and exposed to UV light along with a transparency made by the artist. The process produces an intaglio plate similar to those made by traditional acid etching.
Kristin Palmadottir has a BA in fine art printmaking and has worked in France and exhibitied in Germany, Spain, Greenland, Canada, the US and China.
