Jane Aston began working on the theme of imaginary landscapes after leaving University of Wales Aberystwyth.  During her time studying she became fascinated by unsung local architectural gems.  She began photographing small corrugated tins sheds, unusual windows, doors, anything a bit unusual or quirky.  When, after completing her degree, she moved to a top floor flat on the Malvern Hills, she began drawing from imagination map-like drawings of imagined places built from the inspiration she gained in Wales.
