Single exposure intaglio solar plate, printed on Hahnemuhle etching paper using oil-based ink.  

Denise drew the image on double matt drafting film, using a graphite stick and sharp edged rubber for the background.  The main image was drawn with pencils and and a fine pen for strong edge detail. 

The plate was exposed for 23 mins in weak sunlight at mid-day in Spring.  Denise added extra texture with a drypoint tool while the plate was still soft, before post-exposure.
